Graeme Hunt was appointed Chairman of Bis in July 2018
Graeme brings a wealth of experience to Bis gained from senior leadership and governance roles across the resources, industrial services and power sectors. This has included roles as Managing Director of Broadspectrum and Lihir Gold. Graeme was a senior executive within BHP during a career spanning 30 years, culminating in roles which included President Iron Ore, President Aluminium and President Uranium.
Graeme currently serves as Chairman of AGL Energy (since 2017), and Chair of the National Resources Science Precinct and the Western Australian Energy Research Alliance (since 2012). He previously held a Director role with Broadspectrum Limited (formerly known as Transfield Services Limited) from 2012 until 2016.
Chief Executive Officer
Brad Rogers was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Bis in December 2015.
Brad has been a key member of Bis’ leadership team since 2008 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director in May 2015. Prior to this appointment, Brad served as the company’s Chief Financial Officer for five years. He has also led the company’s corporate development and commercial functions.
Before joining Bis, Brad was General Manager Corporate Development at GRD Limited, where he was responsible for group strategy, business incubation, corporate finance and investor relations. He also led GRD’s Global Renewables operating business in Australia and Asia for three years. Brad has also worked in management positions in the consulting practices of Mainsheet Corporate and Arthur Andersen.
Ian B. Jackson
Ian B. Jackson was appointed Non-Executive Director of Bis in January 2018.
Ian Jackson is a Managing Director and Co-Head of Carlyle Strategic Partners, focusing on unique investment opportunities. He is based in London.
Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Jackson was a Director and senior analyst with Deutsche Bank, investing across the capital structure from senior secured debt to equity. Prior to that, Mr. Jackson spent five years working for Deutsche Bank’s Japanese Group in Tokyo acquiring portfolios and trading Yen-denominated corporate bonds into U.S./European clients. Mr. Jackson currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nationwide Accident Repair Services and Akari Care Group.
Mr. Jackson formerly served on the Board of Directors of Brintons Carpets Limited, Sterling LLC and was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of both Klenk Holz AG and KAP Beteiligungs AG.
Agnieszka Pfieffer was appointed Non-Executive Director of Bis in January 2018.
Agnieszka Pfieffer is a Managing Director of Varde Partners, serving as the Head of Asia for Varde's Portfolio Value Creation Group. Based in Sydney, she joined the firm in 2016.
Prior to joining Värde, Agnieszka was a group general manager at Wesfarmers Industrial and Safety responsible for the operations of a portfolio of safety related businesses. Prior to that role, she held other senior positions at Gresham Private Equity, David Jones, Virgin Money and the Boston Consulting Group.
Merrill Goulding was appointed Non-Executive Director of Bis in January 2018.
Merrill Goulding is a Managing Director with Carlyle Strategic Partners. He is based in London.
Mr. Goulding currently serves on the Board of Directors of Nationwide Accident Repair Services and Akari Care Group. Prior to joining Carlyle, Mr. Goulding was an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs in London, where he principally focused on investments across the capital structure. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Mr. Goulding was employed by Cerberus European Capital Advisors in London. He has served on a number of boards as director or observer. Mr. Goulding began his career at Lazard & Co. in London.
Sandeep Chandak was appointed Non-Executive Director of Bis in January 2018.
Sandeep Chandak is an investment professional at Värde Partners, based in Singapore. He joined Värde Partners in June 2016.
Prior to joining Värde, Sandeep was a Director at Deutsche Bank AG in Hong Kong, trading in loans and bonds.
Emma Stein was appointed Non-Executive Director in December 2018.
Emma Stein is currently serving as Non-Executive Director of ASX50 Company Alumina Limited as well as other non-executive roles including Cleanaway Waste Management Limited, Infigen Energy Limited and Todd Corporation. Emma’s executive career involved senior roles in prominent oil and gas companies in the United Kingdom, including roles as UK Managing Director for British Fuels’ Gas Division and UK Managing Director for Gaz de France Energy.
Throughout her career she has amassed experience in the resources, oil and gas and energy sectors. She brings a wealth of knowledge in commercial and strategic matters to the Board.
